November Reads

Samantha Romine

Usually, for many Americans, November is a month full of family and food. However, this year for many of us, November was something else entirely. For me, it was a month FULL of writing instead.

I missed seeing my family and, of course, I missed eating nonstop for an entire day. However, this year especially reminds us to be grateful for the things we have. Even though I didn't get to see all of my family, I am so grateful for them.

Another thing I am exceptionally grateful for is the opportunity to stay home and write.

And write, I did!

I didn't participate in National Novel Writing Month. It just happened to be a lovely coincidence that my biggest month of writing this year was in November. I didn't plan it like that--ideas and inspiration just seemed to flow from my fingertips!

As a result, I didn't read much in November. Since I spent most of my nights writing, I only managed to read one novel.

Here it is!

PRINCEPS' FURY (Codex Alera, #5) by Jim Butcher

Jim Butcher's PRINCEPS' FURY was action-packed, to say the least!

If you are someone who loves action, I highly recommend this series. There is so much action in this plot-driven book that the characters barely had time to eat and sleep. I found it to be quite exhausting!

I hope your November was full of good things, despite everything else going on in the world right now, and I hope you were able to read some great books as well (or write, like me!).

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the book I am currently reading, and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you next month.

Happy Reading,

Sam
